what have you learned through blogging?

i have learnt many good things through blogging, i have learnt never to give out personel details…..i have also learnt how to leave comments on other peoples blogs. first of all we learnt how to make our learnerblogs and handle and post things then .

what would you say to other year eights about the possibility of blogging in english next year?

um that blogs are great to use and podcast your work well not really podcast but yeh show everyone what we do over here in australia!! i would also tell them to keep personel details to yourself.

the dons well i think the dons is ok but it is boring it isnt that bad but it just bores me well thats really all i have to say so see ya

in todays lesson we went on a website and did like games and quizes. i think it did help a bit, but i have to say it is a bit of a boring subject. i am learning things though so i guess that is good.the site we were on is pretty good it helps i have learnt some stuff so yeh.

The latest project we did was the disasters assignment. This assignment was good because i had a lot of fun writing it, it wasnt really the thing i can relate to but i felt really passionate about it. first we brainstormed and wrote all different types of disasters on the board we then got to pick which one we wanted to do, i choose world war II but cut it downt to the holocaust. I Know many of you dont know what the holocaust is, it was the genocile of the jews in europe. my story was about a litle girl named anna, she was a jew and she had a family of two brothers and two parents. in 1943 her parents were gassed in a near by gas chamber, anna was there and she still remembers it, hjer brothers think that she doesnt know but she does. at the start she is running with all the other people, they are forced to run everywhere and whoever stops is shot. finally they stop and anna is very tiard. later on in the story they are moving camps as they are leaving a little girl is shot and anna cuts her leg. when they get to the new camp annas brothers are killed and on the same day hitler kills himself. a couple of months later everyone is let free. Because all of anns family have died she is sent tO a boarding house. and that is the end i will put a paragraph at the end.

I’m running, running so fast that I can hardly feel my feet; the thought of never waking up again keeps me going. I pray so hard for this all to stop, I can’t go on, my body is aching too much, but I have to, just the thought of what happened to my mother and father scares me. I am so that afraid I will be tricked into something as evil and cruel as what they were. 

i think A good teacher is someone who doesnt always ask questions, understands pressures with homwork and teenage stuff, good teachers do fun things and dont make us do anything we dont want to. i think people think that good student is a so called “nerd” but really a good student can be anybody who listens and is a good worker, who can concentrate when other people are talking. i really get annoyed sometimes when outr class is l;ike really disruptive i know that sumtimes i am really loud but when the teachers are trying to tell us sumthing important.

·         What was it like to be an evacuee? Remember that not everyone had a positive experience.
For people who were evacuating it was an anxious time, but for some people it                was something new and scary. This was because most of the children had to be evacuated and they had no idea where they were going or the family that they would be living with. Some of the children had amazing experiences but some had a miserable time! Some of the children would have been sad to go because there mothers or any other parents were not able to come, because it was important for the kids to get out of the town first.

·         What was the diet of people like during the war? There was rationing and people had to make the best of what was available.
Most of the food was from other countries and because of the war some of the ships were took over or they sunk before they got to shore or bombs hit the places where the food was stored. Because not many of the ships made it there was not much food and you would be lucky even if you just got a simple piece of fruit.

·         What was it like during the Blitz in 1940?
In London in the year 1940, London had been bombed very badly, this happened 47 nights in a row. The bombings made many people homeless and many people died during this time. Some shops were still open during the blitz. For those people who didn’t have any sort shelters, most of the people fled to underground stations, these stations held up to 177,000 people.

The term means that the third world is sort of used in a way. The expression third world was used during the 1955 conference of Afro-Asian countries held in Bandung in Indonesia. In 1956 a group of social scientists associated with Sauvy’s National Institute of Demographic Studies, in Paris, published a book called Le Tiers-Monde. Three years later, the French economist Francois Perroux launched a new journal, on problems of underdevelopment, with the same title. By the end of the 1950’s the term was frequently employed in the French media to refer to the underdeveloped countries of places like Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America.
